Digital Marketing Overview

Through formal digital marketing training and certifications, I’ve developed a strong foundation in strategy, analytics, and performance measurement—adding a valuable layer to my background in Learning and Development and project work. While I haven’t held a formal marketing role, this training has enhanced my ability to think strategically, communicate clearly, and—most importantly—measure what matters.


I developed hands-on skills in email campaigns, social strategy, content creation, and marketing analytics, along with a strong working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), including keyword strategy and optimizing content for discoverability.


One of the most valuable takeaways was learning to track and interpret real-time performance data. Using the Google Analytics demo account, I explored how real products generate user behavior data—analyzing traffic sources, conversion rates, and behavior flow to connect insights back to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

I also gained experience optimizing content using the Google Performance Planner, ensuring content is aligned with audience needs and search trends to improve reach and engagement.


Additionally, I bring experience using Tableau to create interactive dashboards and data visualizations, which are included in my portfolio. These projects demonstrate how I turn metrics into meaningful insights that support decision-making and goal tracking—skills that translate directly into high-impact work.


These capabilities elevate my approach to Learning and Development—where I apply a data-informed mindset to program design, outcome tracking, and continuous improvement. I'm eager to bring this data-driven mindset and strategic thinking into a role where creativity and measurable impact are key priorities.
